Designed by Ben Petersen (Knafs, WIUG, Ben Banters, et al.), the WE Knives Banter is a simple and straightforward liner lock folder built based on Ben’s extensive research and experience with knife trends over the last decade. Classic and timeless design features paired with modern construction and materials make the Banter a solid choice for everyday carry and use for a wide array of users. This version comes with a stonewashed, drop point, S35VN blade and blue G10 handle scales.

Blade: Riding on a caged ceramic ball bearing pivot, the drop point blade deploys fast and smooth via the dual titanium thumb studs for decisive, ambidextrous deployment. A nearly full flat grind on the relatively wide blade delivers solid slicing performance while retaining good durability and a fine tip for piercing and detail work. A small section of jimping on the spine enhances traction and provides a good reference for indexing while the rugged stonewashed finish is handsome and functional, hiding wear from use over time.

Handle: Inset stainless steel liner construction paired with dual barrel spacers forms an easy to maintain and lightweight, open back construction. Liners support the textured G10 handle scales which have enough texture for a secure grip without being aggressive enough to damage your pockets. One liner forms the locking mechanism for reliable operation and secure use with scallops offering decisive purchase and added traction during use. A generous hole at the pommel end allows for lanyard attachment with satin Torx hardware rounding out the construction.

Carries via a right hand, tip-up only, deep carry stainless steel pocket clip.

CPM S35VN: was designed to offer improved toughness over CPM S30V. It is also easier to machine and polish than CPM S30V and the adjusted chemistry makes CPM S35VN about 15-20% tougher than CPM S30V without any loss of wear resistance. CPM S35VN’s improved toughness gives it better resistance to edge chipping.
