TOPS Mini Eagle Black 1095 Black Linen Micarta Fixed Blade Knife MINE-01

Originally built as a companion blade to the Steel Eagle 107C XX that would ride inside the handle scale, the TOPS Mini Eagle is a powerful standalone blade in the guise of a compact backup knife. Paired or solo, the Mini Eagle has a stout 1/4” thick blade and stepped flat grind, delivering a powerfully capable cutting tool in classic TOPS pairing of black traction coated 1095 and black linen Micarta. A well-designed Kydex sheath allows for belt or neck carry.

Blade: A stepped flat grind delivers full thickness at the spine for durability with enhanced cutting performance thanks to the thinner stock toward the edge. Similar to a micro kukri the blade has a powerful recurve edge with a clip point tip and three serrations for a versatile +3 inch blade. Forward jimping gives excellent control in a pinch grip for fine work.

Handle: The compact handle is thick for a secure two finger grip while being very compact for carry. Linen Micarta offers subtle traction, while the attached lanyard increases real estate for your hand without increasing the carry footprint.

Sheath: Carries via a Kydex sheath with removable spring clip or steel ball chain.

1095 Carbon Steel: A simple carbon steel used extensively by production and custom knife makers. Low abrasive wear (edge retention) due to low carbide content and easy to sharpen to a fine edge. Not corrosion resistant and will rust without proper care. Differential heat treat can deliver a harder edge and tougher spine for enhanced performance.
