The Steel Will Arcturus is a striking EDC flipper takes its name from one of the brightest stars in Northern hemisphere and is just as bright in the knife world. The Arcturus has an unusual look that draws the eye while remaining a functional tool with elaborate ergonomics and time-tested materials. Several design variants make it possible to choose your own “pocket star” offering utility in any every day task in both urban and outdoor settings. This mini version comes with a satin D2 blade and Green G10 handle scales.

Blade: The beefy, 3.5 mm thick, satin finished D2 blade has a curving belly along the edge with a high saber grind that offers a balance of durability and slicing performance. A harpoon swedge clip point delivers a robust point for optimized for piercing performance. It opens smoothly with an integral flipper tab riding on durable phosphor bronze washers. The dialed in detent offers smooth, snappy deployment.

Handle: Contoured, peel-ply G10 handle scales offer texture for grip and chamfered edges for comfort during use while the unique ergonomics are pleasing to the eye and the hand. The open back construction reduces weight and makes cleaning and maintenance a breeze. A scoop on the back of the handle transitions into the jimping on the blade and mirrors a scoop on the blade, both offering a secure position for the traditional Filipino grip. A single stainless liner reduces weight and forms the simple, reliable liner lock mechanism. This version is finished off with blasted hardware and blue aluminum standoffs for a pop of color.

D2 Tool Steel: D2 is a cold work tool steel that has been used as a die cutting steel since WW II. D2 has a high chromium content for a tool steel (10-13%) which gives it greater corrosion resistance than most high carbon steels making it semi-stainless. D2 offers a good combination of toughness, corrosion resistance and wear resistance for a good all around knife steel.
