The long awaited Native Chief from Spyderco takes the highly refined and time-tested form of the classic Native model and stretches it by about one third offering a longer, more capable cutting tool that is still slim and pocket friendly for every day carry and use. This version comes with linerless black G10 handles and a Plain Edge S30V blade.

Blade: The Native Chief comes equipped with a fully flat ground blade of CPM S30V for a perfect balance of strength and cutting performance. The blade is in the iconic leaf profile but has been extended from the Native 5 to offer just over 3.5 inches of cutting edge. Opening smoothly on phosphor bronze washers via the trademark SpyderHole, the Native Chief is fully ambidextrous for left or right-handed users. The blade is satin finished and has jimping on the spine and 50/50 finger choil for added security.

Handle: Linerless Black G10 houses the rock solid mid-back lock of the Native Chief which offers easy, one-hand operation. The face of the lock bar is crowned for smooth operation. The handles are ergonomic in design with plenty of traction for positive grip and a lanyard hole for added security.

Carries via a 4-Position stainless steel hourglass clip.

CPM-S30V: A martensitic, powdered stainless steel with high levels of wear and corrosion resistance. Its chemistry promotes the formation and even distribution of vanadium carbides, which are harder and more effective at cutting than chromium carbides. This gives it a very refined grain, further improving the sharpness and toughness. S30V is a great, all around steel with high levels of performance.
