CQI: As a rolling change Spyderco is now making the Black G10 Native 5 without steel liners for a +17% reduction in weight.

Blade: The fifth generation of the Native comes equipped with a fully flat ground blade of CPM S30V for a perfect balance of strength and cutting performance. The blade opens smoothly on phosphor bronze washers via the iconic SpyderHole making the Native 5 fully ambidextrous for left or right-handed users alike. The blade is finished with a fine stonewash and has jimping on the spine and 50/50 finger choil for added security.

Handle: Linerless Black G10 houses the rock solid mid-back lock of the Native 5 which offers easy, one-hand operation. The face of the lock bar is crowned for smooth operation. The handles are ergonomic in design with plenty of traction for positive grip and a lanyard hole for added security.

Carries via a 4-Position stainless steel hourglass clip.

CPM-S30V: A martensitic, powdered stainless steel with high levels of wear and corrosion resistance. Its chemistry promotes the formation and even distribution of vanadium carbides, which are harder and more effective at cutting than chromium carbides. This gives it a very refined grain, further improving the sharpness and toughness. S30V is a great, all around steel with high levels of performance.
