Spyderco Efficient Black G10 Black Serrated Blade C216GPSBBK

The newest edition to Spyderco’s Value Folder family is the Efficient. This compact little folder performs considerably well thanks to its ergonomic design, fully flat ground, drop point blade made from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel. The Efficient is sure to be another classic, every day carry, working folder capable of cutting above its weight class.

This version comes with Black G10 handle scales, black part serrated blade and black hardware.

Blade: The drop point, leaf-shaped blade lends itself to both piercing and slicing tasks with a full flat grind for enhanced performance. There is plenty of cutting edge and a functional finger choil makes fine cutting tasks a breeze. The partially serrated CombinationEdge delivers a good combination of fine cutting and aggressive slicing against fibrous materials. The blade opens via the Spyderco Round Hole™ making this knife fully ambidextrous. The black-oxide coating offers a more discreet finish for use while enhancing corrosion resistance and hiding ware well.

Handle: The scales are made from textured Black G10, an industrial fiber glass composite laminate, which is tough, lightweight and nearly immune to decomposition and moisture. The scales are attached to black coated, skeletonized stainless steel liners which help to reduce weight while maintaining a high level of strength. The blade is locked open for use via a simple Liner Lock mechanism providing a great strength-to-weight ratio. The handles are finished out with all black hardware.

Carries via an ambidextrous (tip-up), black coated, stainless steel Hour Glass pocket clip.

8Cr13MoV: Similar to Japanese AUS-8, 8Cr13MoV is a low carbon, high chromium stainless steel with an excellent balance of toughness and strength. It offers good corrosion resistance and is capable of acquiring a razor sharp edge. Edge holding is significantly lower than S30V but close to 440C. Sharpening should be a breeze.
