A highly anticipated addition to the Spyderco Salt family, the Caribbean family of folders are purpose built for serious use in salt water environments. LC200N was chosen for its corrosion inhibiting properties and enhanced cutting performance over H1. The Caribbean Salt Leaf features an open construction with an easy to operate Compression Lock framework and milled and polished layered Yellow and Black G10 for high visibility and a secure grip even in aquatic environs.

Blade: The leaf blade is perfect for option for those looking for a great all around performance with a fine tip for piercing tasks as well as fine cutting tasks. The blade has a high satin finish, full flat grind, and plain edge that all contribute to excellent slicing performance. The blade is made of LC200N, a nitrogen based steel that provides an exceptional blend of toughness, edge holding, and corrosion resistance. See more below.

Handle: The handles of the Caribbean Salt are built on a skeletonized stainless steel liner framework. The liners are nested into the layered G10 handles and one liner forms the unique Compression Lock mechanism that is rock solid and easy to operate. The scales are made from Yellow and Black layered G10 with a milled texture for grip as well as an eye-catching striped coloration. CQI updated with black coated hardware.

Carries via an ambidextrous (tip-up) titanium hour-glass pocket clip.

LC200N: LC200N is a high nitrogen, alloyed tool steel produced using PESR (pressurized electro-slag remelting) technology delivering a pure alloy with fine micro-structure. This steel has been used in knives for some time and even longer by NASA for ball bearings. LC200N offers excellent corrosion resistance, toughness and ease of sharpening with edge retention better than other steels with comparable qualities. Maximum working hardness in 60-62HRC range. Also sold as Cronidur 30 or Z-FiNit (Zapp Fine Grain Nitrogen steel).
