The SOG Terminus is a utilitarian slip joint that is legal in many places thanks to the sub-3 inch blade and non-locking construction. Timeless and proven, slip joint knives are minimalist in construction for a durable, reliable and easy to maintain cutting tool. With clean lines and a slim footprint, the Terminus is executed with a modern stainless steel blade, composite handles and robust stainless lines for excellent performance. This version comes with a Black PVD TiN coated, CTS-BD1 blade and Black G10 handle scales.

Blade: Utilitarian in design, the clip point blade has a top swedge and high hollow grind for a balance of piercing and slicing ability with good durability. Made from American CTS-BD1 stainless steel, the blade opens smoothly via either of the two large nail nicks on the ball detent slip joint mechanism and features a small guard to prevent unintentional closure during use. Finished with a durable, non-reflective, Black Titanium Nitride PVD coating delivers a blade that is non-reflective for discreet use.

Handle: Stainless steel liners support milled and textured G10 handle scales and offer a secure yet comfortable grip. The liners also house the ball detent slip joint mechanism which offers secure tension in both open and closed positions for safe use and carry. This non-locking folder is a simple, robust, minimalist design for ease of use and reliability. A black GRN partial back spacer and black Torx hardware complete the construction.

Carries via a reversible, tip-up only, extra deep carry stainless steel pocket clip.

CTS-BD1: Carpenter’s analog to Sandvik 19c27, CTS-BD1 is a durable stainless steel that takes a fine edge, is easy to sharpen and has corrosion resistance similar to that of 440C. BD1 is tougher than D2 with good edge stability for a razor sharp edge and wear resistance similar to that of 154CM.
