Blade: Blasted matte gray, the 8Cr13MoV stainless steel blade opens smooth on nylon washers via the ambidextrous blade hole. A timeless Sheepsfoot profile is equipped with a mid height hollow grind for excellent slicing and piercing with solid durability.

Handle: Built like a tank, the handle of the Escape FL consists of two contoured slabs of stainless steel with matching matte gray finish. Milled with finger grooves and surface milling, the handles offer a secure grip with the smooth steel being comfortable in the hand. The frame lock mechanism is reliable, easy to operate and maintenance free delivering a lifetime of secure operation.

8Cr13MoV: Similar to Japanese AUS-8, 8Cr13MoV is a low carbon, high chromium stainless steel with an excellent balance of toughness and strength. It offers good corrosion resistance and is capable of acquiring a razor sharp edge. Edge holding is similar to 440B. Sharpening should be a breeze.
