Microtech UTX-70 S/E Black M390 Drop Point Blue OTF Automatic 148-1BL

The UTX-70 (30% smaller than the standard Ultratech) is a dual action mini out the front automatic knife from Microtech that’s one of the most friendly for everyday carry. The bantam size is ideal for watch pocket, 5th pocket or jacket carry. This version has a single edge drop point blade of two-tone black coated M390, matching black hardware and a blue anodized handle.

Blade: Equipped with a handsome satin flats and durable black Cerakote coating on the grinds, the single edge drop point blade has a clean slicing plain edge for general utility. Satin flats and spine contrasting with coated dual fullers offer added visual appeal. The sub-3 inch blade features a double action mechanism for fast, smooth operation. Press the thumb slide up to deploy and down to retract. An internal spring remains at rest in both positions to reduce wear.

Handle: A smooth, hard anodized 6061-T6 aluminum handle comes with chamfered edges for a comfortable feel in-hand and smooth transition in and out of the pocket and jimping for traction. Slimmer than the Ultratech or UTX-85, the UTX-70 is easily carried with or without clipped. Construction is completed with Microtech’s proprietary hardware, glass breaker end and pocket clip with individual serial number/date of production.

Bohler M390: Bohler M390 (analog to CPM-20CV and CTS-204P) is a premium powder metallurgy (PM) stainless steel with high level edge retention and corrosion resistance. A popular choice for high-end production and custom knives, M390 is relatively easy to sharpen, with toughness on par with 440C/154CM.
