The MC-7 series “TAKE” Folder from Mcusta is a clean, minimalist and elegant in design perfect for an everyday carry gentleman’s knife for the user and collector alike. The Take series features a bamboo motif handle that is stylish and function. This version comes with Black Pakka Wood handles and a Damascus clad VG10 blade.

Blade: Crafted from 33-layer nickel Damascus steel with a stainless steel VG-10 core the drop point blade of the Take is equipped with a shallow hollow grind for excellent slicing performance with solid durability. The satin finished spine and striking look of the Damascus are fitting for a gentleman’s folder. It opens smoothly on Teflon washers via dual thumb studs which match the anodized pivot hardware. The blade is beautiful, functional and utilitarian.

Handle: The exposed stainless steel liners are seamless and smooth creating the foundation for the handsome Black Pakka Wood handle scales. The bamboo motif of the scales is ergonomic, delivering subtle finger grooves for traction, while the liner lock mechanism provides reliable lockup and smooth operation. A Nishijin Pouch is included for storage and carry.

Damascus clad VG10: VG-10 is a high-carbon stainless steel that takes a very good edge and holds it well. Popular with Japanese kitchen knife makers it is often hardened to 60-61 HRC A popular choice for small pocket knives thanks to good edge holding and stain resistance VG10 works well with a high polished, acute edge for optimal slicing performance. The nickel Damascus cladding enhances durability and offers a striking look.
