Kizer designer Azo took inspiration for the Shamshir folder from the Persian sword of the same name, actually meaning sword. A robust and capable daily carry folder, this Persian style trailing point offers performance and style in equal measure with excellent build quality and time tested materials. This version has a matte gray titanium handle and stonewashed S35VN stainless steel blade.

Blade: Made of stonewashed CPM-S35VN, the Persian style trailing point blade is saber ground for balanced slicing performance and durability, ending in a sturdy point for piercing and detail work. A ball bearing pivot and dialed in detent make deployment fast, smooth and decisive via the dual thumb studs, while the stonewashed finish hides wear from heavy use. At just over 3.5 inches in length, the blade easily handles most daily cutting tasks and fits neatly into the handle for streamlined carry.

Handle: Contoured matte gray titanium slabs are internally milled for weight reduction and balance and offer a clean, aesthetic design and comfortable feel in hand. The titanium gives a reassuring heft in the hand with good balance from the partial back spacer and a secure grip thanks to the sweeping lines and subtle choil. One slab is cut with the integral frame lock and equipped with a steel lock face and over travel stop for reliable, rock solid operation and safe use. Includes a Velcro nylon pouch for storage.

Carries via a right hand, tip-up, 3D machined titanium pocket clip.

CPM-S35VN: A modified version of S30V designed for improved toughness over and easier machining and polish. Toughness is improved roughly 15-20%, with a slight decrease in wear resistance (edge retention). Corrosion resistance is also lightly higher, close to AISI 420. S35VN is a well-balanced steel for daily use.
