Designed by prolific Danish custom knife maker Jens Anso, the Kershaw Aftereffect is a compact, everyday carry folder executed in his iconic style. The compact, drop point blade comes in at under 2 inches making it perfect for areas with length restrictions while the 2.1 ounce weight makes for an EDC you can forget until you need it. Stylish, textured black handles and pivot hardware are subdued, contrasting well with the oversize lanyard hole/back spacer in bright blue. Clipped to pocket or key ring, the Aftereffect will be there to get the job done.

Blade: Bead-blasted matte gray, the stainless steel blade opens smoothly on a washer pivot via the dual thumb studs. A shallow hollow grind and prominent swedge enhance cutting performance while retaining good durability on this compact blade.

Handle: Textured, black Glass-filled nylon handle scales are light weight, durable and comfortable in the hand with an inset liner lock mechanism providing secure lockup with minimal weight. Custom milling on the front of the pivot adds to the aesthetic appeal while the bright blue anodized aluminum back spacer is both eye-catching and functional with an oversized lanyard/key ring hole for added utility.

Carries via the single position, right hand, tip-up, deep carry stainless steel pocket clip or lanyard/key chain hole.

8Cr13MoV: Similar to Japanese AUS-8, 8Cr13MoV is a low carbon, high chromium stainless steel with an excellent balance of toughness and strength. It offers good corrosion resistance and is capable of acquiring a razor sharp edge. Edge holding is significantly lower than S30V but close to 440B. Sharpening should be a breeze.
