The Hinderer Knives XM-18 3.5 is a precision-crafted hard-use tactical folder you can carry every day. As the medium-sized model in the Hinderer XM line, the XM-18 3.5 was designed to fit most hands comfortably and has a mid-size blade to handle almost any task. Easy, one-hand operation and a reliable lock system are the foundation of the XM series. This version comes with a stonewashed CPM-S45VN Spanto blade, stonewashed Bronze titanium frame and Blue/Black G10 scale.

Blade: The three and a half inch Spanto (Spear Tanto) blade opens fast and smooth via the integral flipper or dual thumb studs/blade stops. The American CPM-S45VN blade delivers well-balanced performance in edge retention, corrosion resistance, toughness and sharpening response. A rugged stonewashed finish hides wear from use. Rick’s Tri-Way pivot system creates silky smooth operation with your choice of bearings (installed) or nylon or bronze washers. The detent is dialed in for decisive flipper deployment.

Handle: Full titanium frame lock and liner have a bronze anodized stonewashed finish that is rugged and hides wear well while still having a striking visual appeal. Satin Hardware and standoffs create one solid package while a 3D textured G10 scale coupled with strategically placed jimping provides a solid grip. A blade choil allows for a more forward grip for controlled work. Additional features include the Hinderer Lockbar Stabilizer, titanium clip insert and customizable modular design.

Carries via a reversible, right hand only, titanium pocket clip.

Tri-Way Pivot: An innovative design from Hinderer, the Tri-Way pivot has milled pockets in the blade and frame allowing for the use of ball bearing pivot washers (installed). Utilizing steel spacers to fill those pockets, you can also use nylon or bronze washers (included) to customize the action.

CPM S45VN: An evolution in the S30-series of steels from Crucible, S45VN shows improved edge retention and corrosion resistance relative to S35VN a slight reduction in toughness. Also considered an upgrade to Elmax with similar edge retention but better hardness, corrosion resistance, toughness, and a finer carbide structure (better sharpness).
