While the original Sonoma design offered the sleek lines and solid heft of a titanium frame lock for stylish performance in an urban environment, the GiantMouse Sonoma V2 has modifications for optimal outdoor performance. Built on a liner lock platform for weight reduction, the V2 comes with contoured scales for solid traction and comfort paired with an Elmax blade for a bit more toughness while still delivering high-end performance. This “blackout” version comes with black G10 scales and a black PVD finished ELMAX blade. Made by Reate Knives.

Blade: Made from Bohler Elmax, the slim 3.5 mm blade rides fast and smooth on ceramic bearings for decisive flipper deployment. A nearly full flat grind offers solid performance balanced with durability while the slender blade pierces and slices with ease. A tumbled black PVD coating hides wear and is discreetly non-reflective offering subdued style with the classy crowned spine. An index choil and spine jimping deliver added control for heavy cutting tasks.

Handle: Supported by inset stainless steel liners the contoured G10 handle scales are comfortable in extended use while offering a solid grip without aggressive texturing. Scalloped for traction the liner lock is smooth in operation with solid lockup for safe use. The generous handle offers a solid grip in multiple positions for added versatility and is completed with brass pivot collars and partial back spacer with lanyard hole.
