The D Rocket Design MaximX is the larger version of a potential SpaceX company knife design, the MinimalX. The EDC version retains the eye-catching 6 face blade grinds and deep fullers, high-speed bearing driven inline flipper deployment and slim carry. Inset steel liner construction reduces weight and offers added visual appeal. This version features a black coated blade and carbon fiber handles.

Blade: A chisel like Tanto profile blade made of black coated M390 stainless steel has milled fullers for balance, strength. Milled with six facets, the blade has a full length swedge, a chisel like forward edge and primary saber grind. Scrape, cut and slice, this blade does it all with plenty of cutting edge for the majority of tasks. Bearing pivot flipper deployment is fast, smooth, and ambidextrous.

Handle: Joined in a faux integral construction, the contoured carbon fiber handle is clean, comfortable and rock solid with an easy to operate inset liner lock. Carbon fiber makes for a lightweight, high-performance handle with plenty of style. The large handle offers a full grip for most users. Includes padded hard plastic case for transport and storage.

Carries via a right-hand milled titanium clip.

Bohler M390: Bohler M390 (analog to CPM-20CV and CTS-204P) is a premium powder metallurgy (PM) stainless steel with high carbide content for some of the highest edge retention and corrosion resistance, while being relatively easy to sharpen. A popular choice for high-end production and custom knives. Relatively high carbide volume and coarse microstructure gives this steel lower toughness.
