The Tuff-Lite folder from Cold Steel Knives is as handy as it is handsome. This little guy is compact, lightweight and a real hard worker and makes for a premium box cutter with added utility and strength. This version has a razor sharp, hollow ground, Wharncliffe blade and a Red Griv-Ex polymer handle.

Blade: With plenty of every day utility, the plain edge Wharncliffe blade is perfect for just about task that requires a sharp edge. Built from reliable Japanese AUS 8A stainless steel and hollow ground for exceptional sharpness and durability, the Tuff Lite sports a stylish satin finish. The hollow grind also provides a fine point for piercing or detail work. Fully ambidextrous in operation, an oval thumb hole cutout is simple to use with no sharp edges to tear up your thumb. Close to an inch of notching on the spine adds some traction for secure use.

Handle: Cold Steel’s Griv-Ex material is an extremely tough nylon formula engineered with an enormous strength to weight ratio. This one is Red and has hollowed out grooves along with light texturing for traction. Dual choils toward the blade allow the user to cut confidently with the knife locked in the hand with a secure and comfortable fit for the majority of users. A mid-back Tri-Ad lock is simple to operate while delivering optimal strength and security over the life of the knife. A slot is provided for lanyard attachment.

Carries via a reversible, tip-down stainless steel pocket clip.

Japanese AUS-8A Stainless Steel: a low carbon, high chromium stainless steel offers excellent balance of performance: it has good toughness, corrosion resistance and sharpening response with similar edge retention to 440C.
