Custom knife maker Wes Crawford has collaborated with Cold Steel on the new Crawford Model 1 flipper, a budget friendly iteration of one of his high-end custom folders. This tactically inspired folder strongly resembles Wes’s custom knife, with a wide saber ground blade that opens with lightening quickness via the integral flipper tab. Sure to be a favorite user for Crawford and Cold Steel fans alike.

Blade: Made from durable Japanese 4034SS stainless steel the blade of the Model 1 sports a durable saber grind with clip point top swedge. The blade has plenty of belly for slicing and a fine piercing point along with a fine satin finish for aesthetics and performance. The blade rides smoothly on bronze washers and deploys with speed via the integral index flipper tab.

Handle: Durable, lightweight and economical black glass reinforced nylon scales are inlaid with high traction OD Green rubber inlays that pair with the grooved and ergonomic lines and dual guard for optimal security in the hand. The single stainless liner forms a strong leaf spring liner lock that is backed up by a secondary slide safety for a lock that is extremely resistant to shock and impact while being easy to operate with one hand.

4034SS Stainless Steel: Also known as 1.4034, 4034SS is similar in performance to 420 stainless offering reasonable hardness, corrosion resistance and wear resistance with proper heat treat. Tough for a stainless steel due to low carbide content.
