CIVIVI M2 Backup C2016B Alex Weese Satin D2 OD Green G10 Fixed Blade

Designed by Alex Weese, knife making prodigy as well as being the son and protégé of knife making icon Bob Terzuola, the CIVIVI M2 Backup was meant to serve as an EDC or outdoor backup knife. Beautiful in its simplicity, the M2 Backup is equipped with a satin finished, hollow ground drop point blade of D2 tool steel. Utilitarian and robust, this is a knife that was made to work. This version comes with OD Green G10 handle scales.

Blade: The blade of the M2 Backup is elegant in its simplicity and built for pure functionality. Hollow ground, satin finished D2 in a utilitarian drop point with a long top swedge. This knife pierces and slices with ease while retaining good durability.

Handle: Hidden pin construction gives the blasted G10 scales a clean, minimalist look while dual finger grooves added security in the hand. The blasted G10 offer traction without being overly aggressive and the full tang construction offers durably and exceptional balance for extended use.

Carries via a custom molded Kydex sheath with Bob Terzuola designed T-Clip.

D2 Tool Steel: D2 is a cold work tool steel that has been used as a die cutting steel since WW II. With a high chromium content for a tool steel (10-13%) D2 offers greater corrosion resistance than most high carbon steels. With a good combination of toughness, corrosion resistance and wear resistance D2 is a well-balanced, all around knife steel.
