Buck Knives Selkirk Large Folding Knife Micarta 836

The evolution of the popular Selkirk fixed knife from Buck Knives now comes the Large Folding knife built in its image. The large folder is a hard-working size at just about 8.75 inches overall open. It has an excellent feel in hand and is brand new direct from Buck Knives. 

The Blade: A full flat ground big bellied drop point style perfect for any number of cutting tasks. Just over 3.5 inches of cutting edge that’s quite sharp and ready for work. Smooth operation with Teflon washers at the pivot and dual thumb stud openers. There’s a really nice notched thumb ridge on the spine adding to the overall grip on the knife.

The Handle: Brushed steel bolsters and skeletonized liners are accented with CNC contoured brown/black Micarta handle scales. The micarta adds a special look and texture to the whole piece. Easy to clean open standoffs construction with liner locking mechanism on the Selkirk. 

This Large Folding Selkirk model does not include a pocket clip. Instead, it is even more ready for the outdoors with a black injection molded nylon sheath configurable into horizontal or vertical belt carry. Secured to the sheath is a 2.25 inch ferrocerium striker with whistle integrated in the grip. An excellent Survival companion.
