De Santis, industrial chemist, martial artist and knife aficionado has teamed up with Boker Plus to deliver the Yokai a tactical liner lock folder with a practical construction and aggressive looks. Features include a black coated D2 tool steel blade, honeycomb textured black G10 scales, milled red aluminum back spacer with lanyard loop and glass breaker pommel end.

Blade: Made from D2 tool steel for a long wearing edge this aggressive Tanto blade has a nearly full height flat grind for optimal slicing performance while the 3.7 mm blade thickness offers good durability. The spine has an angular swedge that enhances piercing. A durable black coating makes this blade discreet in use with fast flipper deployment and added safety from the jimped thumb ramp and index guard flipper.

Handle: Inset stainless steel liners support chamfered black G10 milled with a honeycomb texture for superior traction. A pronounced thumb scoop works with the thumb ramp on the blade allowing for added pressure in piercing and slicing. A red anodized aluminum back spacer protects the edge during carry and is milled for added traction with an exposed lanyard hole at the pommel. A hardened steel glass breaker delivers added versatility to this tactical folder. Includes a padded nylon zip pouch for transport and storage.

D2 Tool Steel: D2 is a cold work tool steel that has been used as a die cutting steel since WW II. D2 has a high chromium content for a tool steel (10-13%) which gives it greater corrosion resistance than most high carbon steels making it semi-stainless. D2 offers a good combination of toughness, corrosion resistance and wear resistance for a good all around knife steel.
