Japanese custom knife maker Kansei Matsuno returns with his clean, aesthetic design for another collaboration with Boker Plus, the Tenshi liner lock folder. The Tenshi has a sweeping shape reminiscent of classic Japanese blades and a reverse Tanto point often found on higonokami utility knives. Modern liner lock construction with contoured scales, bearing pivot, thumb stud deployment and deep carry clip make this a perfect choice for daily dress or office carry. This version comes with a hand rubbed satin VG10 blade and canvas Micarta handle scales.
Brand new, direct from Boker Knives.
Blade: The sub-3 inch blade come in a handsome hand rubbed satin finish with a slicing full flat grind. A reverse Tanto profile lends durability at the tip, while the full-length belly offers solid performance and cutting utility. The large textured thumb stud ensure decisive opening, smooth at any speed thanks to the ball bearing pivot.
Handle: Satin steel liners support contoured scales for a comfortable and secure grip. A partial back spacer delivers excellent balance in the hand, while milled grooves opposite the pocket clip provide traction when drawing the knife and sight-free indexing. The liner lock mechanism is simple, smooth, and solid for safe use.
Carries via a right-hand stainless-steel deep carry clip.
VG10: Japanese Takefu VG10 is a high-carbon stainless steel that takes a fine edge and holds it well. Often hardened to 60-61 HRC in high-end kitchen knives, edge retention and toughness are on par with 440C with better corrosion resistance. A solid choice for small pocket knives, an acute, high polished edge delivers optimal slicing performance.
