The Boker Plus Fragment breaks down a folding knife to the absolute essentials comprising of a total of four pieces plus clip and screws. In lieu of a front scale this knife uses a pivot cover paired with the frame and spring to house the bladem, which is chisel ground, and fits securely against the frame for safe carry. At just over an ounce this is an ideal choice for ultralight carry. This version comes with a dark stonewashed finish on the blade, frame and spring with a red G10 pivot cover.

Blade: Chisel ground on the back with a shallow hollow on the front, this modified sheepsfoot blade slices like a laser with a pronounced tip for piercing and fine work. Strong spring tension, a 90-degree half stop and unsharpened ricasso enhance safety in operation while the 9Cr13MoV stainless steel blade offers balanced performance and is equipped with a rugged, wear hiding dark stonewashed finish.

Handle: Four stainless steel screws hold the minimalist three-piece handle securely together: a red G10 pivot cover with steel back spring and handle frame. The back spring offers strong tension for safe slip joint operation while the frame has a pronounced guard for secure use. The package is slim and lightweight for daily carry and includes a hole for lanyard attachment.

9Cr13MoV: Similar to Japanese AUS-8, 9Cr13MoV is a low carbon, high chromium stainless steel with an excellent balance of toughness and strength. It offers good corrosion resistance and is capable of acquiring a razor sharp edge. Edge holding is significantly lower than S30V but close to 440B. Sharpening should be a breeze.
