Benchmade Mini Bugout Orange Grivory S30V Drop Point AXIS Lock Folder 533

The 533 Mini Bugout folder from Benchmade Knives expands on the popular Bugout, delivering another “go anywhere” ultralight folder, this time in a sub-3” blade platform. As with the original, the 533 is extremely slim, ergonomic and comes high in quality materials at an outstanding price point. This version comes with a stonewashed CPM-S30V blade and orange Grivory handles.

Blade: Classic drop point profile provides excellent overall utility at work or in the field with a tapering top swedge to refine the point. Crafted from American CPM-S30V stainless steel, the blade delivers a good balance of performance while still being relatively easy to maintain. Phosphor bronze washers provide smooth operation via the ambidextrous orange anodized thumb studs paired.

Handle: Orange Grivory was chosen for its lightweight properties along with its general toughness and weather resistance. It has moderate diamond texturing on both sides to aid in grip without being aggressive on the user or other equipment. Orange anodized aluminum barrel spacers complete the easy-to-clean construction with an oversized pommel hole for lanyard attachment. A DLC coated titanium lock bar gives the AXIS lock smooth, solid and reliable performance while keeping the weight down to a scant 1.5 oz.

Carries via a reversible stainless-steel mini deep carry clip.

CPM-S30V: A PM stainless steel developed specifically for use in knife blades, S30V has good wear resistance (edge retention) and corrosion resistance, better than 440C or 420HC. The powdered process refines the grain, improving performance for a balanced blade steel. Toughness is comparable to other PM stainless steels.
